Liz is the Founding Artistic Director of the Hudson Valley Performing Arts Laboratory (The Lab). As a director, her work has been seen at The Dorsky Museum, Legoland NY, The NY International Fringe Festival, and Dixon Place. For four years she produced and directed the popular monthly show Lip Service: Live Singing Dancing and Comedy at Galapagos Artspace in Brooklyn. Over the summer of 2020, Liz directed the Lab’s first-ever remote devised performance, which transformed multiple times before becoming a 9 episode soap opera called, “Hawk’s Landing.” Recently, Liz directed “Performing Art,” the fourth devised performance collaboration between the Lab and The Dorsky Museum at SUNY New Paltz. This summer, she will join the directing faculty at the Powerhouse Theater Training program at Vassar College.

She is the author of numerous theater pieces, including “Teach A Girl To Fish” which was produced by the Dixon Place HOTT Festival. Acting credits include Varya in The Cherry Orchard at The Classic Stage Company and Stella in Ex-Antwone at PS 122. She has a BFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts and an MA in Educational Theatre from Steinhardt/NYU. Liz is committed to providing new and accessible ways for the community to engage with the performing arts through The Lab’s workshops, classes, and productions.
